Shopping

Like in most parts of the world these days, most residents of Krakow do their shopping in the various shopping malls that have sprouted up around the city in the last 10 years. But for visitors, it's more interesting to do some shopping at a local farmers' market, for example Kleparz, which is just 2 minutes from the Florianska Gate, or Hala Targowa, which is situated between the old town and Kazimierz. The Hala Targowa market also boasts a colorful flea market every Sunday till about 2pm. The Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) on the main town square is fine for souvenirs, but expect higher prices due to the location. If you feel that you must go to a shopping mall, the most practical option is the Galleria Krakow right next to the train station.
