Local Tours

It's possible to arrange tours in groups or privately with many travel agencies or local guides in Krakow. Tours may consist of a short walk around the old town, museum visits, exploring neighborhoods outside of the center, or visits to the salt mine in Wieliczka or the Auschwitz concentration camp in Oswiecim. Theme oriented tours are also popular, for example: communism tours, Jewish heritage, John Paul II. Some companies also offer tours with electric carts that have recorded commentary, though these are rather expensive and a bit tacky. Krakow isn't Disney Land!
