Local Attractions

Although Krakow doesn't have any amusement parks, there is Aqua Park, east of the Old Town, about 6km from the city center in the direction of Nowa Huta. If water slides and wave pools are you your thing, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for roller coaster and Ferris wheels, you have to look out for the temporary fair grounds that are set up occasionally in summer, across from the Wawel castle, on the other side of the Vistula River. Also, in the same area across the river, nearby the abandoned Hotel Forum is a hot air balloon that offers rides and spectacular views of Krakow, usually from April through October.
